英语演讲角（第38期）| 罗马非一日建成（一）
“罗马非一日建成”，英语口语也非一日练成。成都外国语学校高新校区 “英语演讲角”作为本校外语品牌活动之一，既锻炼了学生口语，又提高了其思辨能力，备受全校学生的欢迎。
2020年9月17日下午，成外高新孔子广场，高2019级新学期第一次外语特色活动 —— 英语演讲角（Speakers’Corner）如期举行。
此次演讲以 Rome was not built in a day （罗马非一日建成）为主题，旨在提醒同学们新学期想要取得理想成绩，“勤奋”、“坚持”必不可少。全年级数十名学生踊跃参加，本周为该话题的第一场演讲，他们分别来自于7班的郑晓彤、李俊奕；8班的胡睿涵；11班的付文颖；12的班刘力阳、李奕君同学。由7班谭萱同学主持。演讲者们用亦或生动比喻亦或娓娓道来的方式向同学们表达自己的思考与见解，获得现场粉丝同学们的阵阵喝彩。

Sometimes they may give up half way in the face of what seems to be hard to overcome. However, success is not an easy task. It takes a great deal of energy and patience.

If you want to be successful, just follow your dream and persist in doing it. Although there are many difficulties on the way to success, just never give up, just believe ‘Rome was not built in a day’, and try your best to follow it, to persist in it, to gain a bright future!
如果你也想要成功，永远不要放弃自己的梦想。追梦路上充满了荆棘，但是不要放弃，因为“罗马非一日造成”，只要你坚持自己的梦想，最终也会赢得美好的明天！

Persistence is the soul of a nation’ s prosperity. It was because of the countless people with lofty ideals who seek up and down, shed their heads and blood, then we can end the humiliating history and bring a new era.
