The Meaning of Life ——成外高新2019级第58期Speakers’ Corner演讲活动纪实

“立学中华，语通世界”是成外高新始终秉承的办学理念，每周三风雨无阻的英语演讲角也一直是成外高新校园里一道独特的风景线。5月12日下午，成都外国语学校高新校区高二第58期主题为The Meaning of Life（生命的意义）的英语演讲角在孔子广场如期举行。本周演讲角的主持人是来自高二10班的谢芯芮同学，8位演讲者分别是来自高二6班的沈维柯同学，高二7班的宋汶忆、周显晋同学，高二8班的徐玉洁同学，高二9班的陈思雨同学以及高二10班的张又天、蒲飞翰、刘锦娴同学。八位同学充满激情而富有哲理的演讲赢得现场阵阵掌声，也吸引了不少师生驻足停留，一起加入这场关于生命的思考。

生命的意义是什么？一个人应该怎样过一生才算不枉此生？我们不断地寻找着生命的意义，有的人终其一生才明白生命的真谛。在步履匆匆的成长路上，我们只有领悟了生命的真谛，才能走出一条无悔的生命轨迹。接下来，让我们一起来倾听这群意气风发的成高少年如何用他们年轻的声音诠释生命的意义。

第58期演讲角主持人：高二10班谢芯芮

（高二8班 徐玉洁）

There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand readers’ eyes. Some think they live for money, some for fame and some for fun. It’s our understanding of the meaning of the life that determines what we live for.

一千个读者就有一千个哈姆雷特。有的人为钱财而生，有的人为名誉而活，还有的人混迹于世就为图个乐。我们对于生命意义的理解决定了我们为什么而活。

高二9班 陈思雨

The more I learn, the more I understand; the more I experience, the more beautiful life becomes. I find there are many things that inspire me. I think my life is great now, and hence I am grateful to the world, and to everyone I meet.

我学得越多，就懂得越多；我经历得越多，发现的美就越多。美好的生活无时无刻不在激励着我。因此，无论是对这个世界，还是对我生命中遇到的每一个人，我总是充满了感恩。

高二10班
张又天

Everything comes to the world with a purpose. For example, the cup is to hold water and the chair is to be sat on. Why are we human beings created then?

世间万物，皆有使命，比如，杯子是拿来装水的，椅子是用来坐的。那么我们生而为人的使命又是什么呢？

高二7班
周显晋

When people are at their death bed, what they regret is usually the dreams they fail to try their best to pursue, or that they hadn’t spent more time with the ones they love.

弥留之际的人往往会为当年无疾而终的远大抱负而不胜唏嘘，或为错过与家人共享天伦之乐的幸福时刻而懊悔不已。

高二7班   宋汶亿

What is the meaning of our young and fresh life? Everyone has a different answer to this question. We can't change the disaster, but we can change our heart and the way we face the reality. Always remember: where there is life, there is hope.

我们年轻的生命到底为了什么而存在？对此，每个人都有自己的答案。无论身处逆境的我们多么无奈，我们至少可以改变对待逆境的心态。不要忘了：生命不息、希望永在！

高二10班
蒲飞翰

The greatest happiness in life is to keep healthy so you can explore the world, have a couple of friends with whom you can share joys and sorrows, and always possess a curious heart which enables you to learn however old you are.

人生最大的幸福莫过于拥有一个足以支撑你去探索世界的体魄，结交几个和你同甘共苦的挚友，同时永远保持一颗求知若渴的初心。

高二10班刘锦娴

Sometimes life doesn't work as planned,
but
the only way to come back is just to move on. Life moves on,right?
we have to move on
and become
stronger
and better.

人生不如意之事十有八九，而勇往直前才是唯一的出路。生命不息、奋斗不止！在前进的道路上，我们终将成为强者，遇见更好的自己。

高二6班沈维柯

No matter what circumstance we are in, let’s cherish the present, cherish the people around us, cherish everything we have now. Because this is our life now, and what surrounds us constructs the meaning of our life.

无论境遇如何，我们都要珍惜眼下的每一刻，珍惜所遇的每个人，珍惜我们所拥有的一切，因为这就是我们此刻的生活，我们周遭的一切承载了我们生命的意义。
