英语演讲角 （第48期）|知心相惜，励志同行

宝剑锋自磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。在成长的道路上，我们（尤其是青少年）会遇到各种各样的困难与挫折，面对成长的烦恼与学业的压力，重要的是具备迎难而上的决心与勇气。2020年12月23日，我校传统外语活动——英语演讲角（speaker’s corner）在孔子广场举行。本期主题是“Move On , My Pal（知心相惜，励志同行） ”。来自高二（7）班的管喆、杨仕杰，12班的何馨玥，13班杨蕊菁、周永航，14班的陈俊西、梁绍坤以及15班的徐巧怡参加了本次演讲角。其中，7班的杨士杰同学用日语发表了演讲，充分展示了他的外语能力，也体现了成外高新的外语特色，将本次演讲角活动带向高潮。围绕本期的演讲主题，优秀的演讲者们在演讲中呼吁同龄人面对困难时不要抱怨逃避，而要带着勇气与决心前行。

Whenever it's too much to bear and I am about to give up，you just said, "Move on, my pal." Although I can not solve the difficulties, your words are like a spring breezeto smooth my tired body and mind.

每当我感觉难以承受、想要放弃，你都会说：“朋友，加油！”虽然我不能解决所有的难题，你的话就像春风一样，抚慰了我疲惫的身体和心灵。

When people encounter difficulties, some choose to run away, complaining all the time; Others face them bravely and try their best to get over them. Life sometimes doesn’t go as we hope, which can be frustrating. However, we shouldn’t forget that we get to live only once, so don’t let difficulties ruin our life. Where there is a will, there is a way.

当人们遇到困难时，有些人选择逃避抱怨，还有些人勇敢的面对并尽最大努力去克服困难。生活总有不如意时，但要知道，人生只有一次，因此别让挫折阻挡我们的前路。有志者，事竟成。

The former president of the United State , Abraham Lincoln, once said, “I’m a slow worker, but I never walk backwards.” That is to say, on the way to success, no matter what difficulties we may meet, and no matter how many failures we shall bear, just remember, my pals, keep moving on with courage and determination! Keep moving on, without hesitation and regrets! Just move on, we will see a bright future waiting ahead of us!

美国前总统亚伯拉罕林肯说过：“ 我走得很慢，但从不倒退。”这也是告诉我们，在通往成功的路上，无论我们遇到多少困难，经历了多少失败，请记住，我的朋友，带着勇气与决心前进吧！一往无前，不带丝毫犹豫与悔恨！前进吧，光明的未来在前方等待我们！

One or two times' failure doesn't matter, but what you do after that will define you. Meanwhile, all of these failures or troublesome things ,which make you down, will eventually be the best memories of your life.

一次两次的失败并不重要，重要的是失败后的所作所为。同时，所有那些让你感到郁闷的烦心事，最终都会成为你生命中最宝贵的回忆。

At the beginning of the year 2020, the whole world is suffering from the epidemic. Firstly，I want you to know this is a war without smoke and we are all fighters that are facing dark time right now. In addition, as the old saying goes, “There is always a rainbow after a storm.” I hope that the black clouds will disappear and the sunshine will enlighten us again. Life is always positive, so move on, my pal!

在2020年的开头，整个世界都遭受疫情肆虐。首先，我想让你们知道这是一场没有硝烟的战斗，我们现在都是身临于黑暗之中的战士。有一句谚语说道：“风暴过后常常会有彩虹 。”我期盼乌云将会退去，曙光会再次照耀着我们。生活往往是积极向上的，所以加油！我的朋友们。

When you think your dream is beyond your reach, move on, my pals! When you doubt whether it is possible to
achieve your ambition, move on, my pals! When you feel lonely and helpless, I’ll always be there for you, my pals!

当你觉得自己的梦想遥不可及，加油，朋友！当你怀疑你撑不起自己的野心，加油，朋友！当你感到孤独无助，我将永远在你左右，朋友！
