拒绝盲从，方得成长 --2019年“智慧演讲”高一英语演讲比赛决赛纪实
2019年6月13日晚，成都外国语学校高新校区2019年“智慧演讲”（Wisdom Talks）高一英语演讲比赛圆满落幕。
成外高新一直致力于发展英语特色教育、培养学生的英语应用能力以及跨文化交际意识。作为成外高新的英语学科主打特色活动之一，“智慧演讲”（Wisdom Talks）今年依旧如期举行，旨在为成外高新学子们提供发掘潜力，拓展能力，挑战自我和表达自我的平台和机会。
赛程共分为初赛、复赛和决赛三个阶段，各阶段演讲题目都相同，便于学生不断打磨进步。通过为期两周的前两个阶段的激烈比拼，共有11名高一年级学生脱颖而出，进入决赛。2019年6月13日晚18:50，演讲比赛决赛在学校学术报告厅（一）隆重举行。校长李俊、副校长张盛莅临比赛现场，一睹同学们的风采。主持人为高2018级的李逸天、朱棫诗同学。
今年的演讲主题为“Learn to Say No, Learn to Grow”（拒绝盲从，方得成长）。此主题旨在启迪学生主动思考，拥有自己的立场和观点，学会对他人的不合理观点或要求表达异议和拒绝，形成正确的价值观和独立思维模式，成为有思想，有主见的智慧青年。

主持人致开幕词之后，同学们面对这个和他们成长过程息息相关的主题，通过前期的精心准备之后，依次上台以流利的口语，严密的逻辑，使用鲜明的例子进行了十分精彩的演讲，展现了优秀的台风，并向台下观众们传达了自己对于“拒绝盲从，方得成长”的独到观点和看法。作为高中生，能够站在面对几百人的舞台上用英语进行这么具有挑战性的语言活动，这展现出了同学们良好的心理素质和优秀的综合语言素养，也给在场观众们留下了深刻印象，欢呼和掌声此起彼伏、不绝于耳。
接着，校长李俊和副校长张盛分别对本次演讲比赛做了点评。李校长从演讲的意义和内容给与了指导，张校长从英语语言学习和应用的角度给与了同学们鼓励和要求。此次演讲比赛中同学们各抒己见，言辞流利，培养和锻炼了自己的综合语言运用能力，同学们不仅在英语表达能力上得到了提高，思维上也有了进一步提升。

“Growth does not only mean that you become an adult but also you learn to say no to temptations and become wiser. Learn to say no, Learn to grow.”
“成长不仅仅意味着成为大人，更多的是学会拒绝诱惑，变得更加理智。让我们学会在拒绝中成长。”

“The world allows us to have different voices, different colors and even different identities. By saying no, we can reject bad temptations in daily life, then we grow. By saying no, we can prove the power of dreams as what Martin Luther King have done, then the humans grow. By saying no, we can question these so-called truths, then the world grows.”
“这个世界如此包容，允许我们有不同的观点，不用的颜色甚至不同的身份。说“不”，我们可以拒绝日常生活的不良诱惑，所以，我们成长了；说“不”，我们可以向马丁路德金一样去证明梦想的力量；所以，全人类成长了；说“不”，我们可以质疑世界上所谓的真理，所以，这个世界也成长了。”

“56 years ago, Martin Luther King, a great black leader, gathered together all the black people before the Lincoln Memorial, to say “no” to the racial segregation and discrimination from white people, and to the injustice of society. His famous speech “I have a dream” had made a big difference in the American society in the1960s, and it is still very influential and encouraging today. ”
“56年前，马丁•路德•金，一位伟大的黑人领袖，在林肯纪念碑前召集所有黑人同胞，向来自白人的种族隔离，种族歧视和社会不公说“不”。他著名的演讲“我有一个梦想”对上个世纪60年代的美国社会产生了巨大影响，并且仍然有力地影响和鼓舞着今天的我们。”

“We all know that 5G is so fast that it can change the whole world. Or probably we can say that if a country has 5G, it can be dominating and unstoppable. so do you know which the country is? Yes, we china! Huawei made it come true! But at the same time, America, which is trying so hard to develop this technology, finding that they are falling behind Huawei, Trump just cut off these recourses and prevent these products of Huawei to be available in America market. Maybe most people think Chinese will spend our money to buy it again, but this time, Huawei company said no to it, CEO said without these recourses, Chinese can still make 5G well, we don’t need your help, we can do it by ourselves! and we can do it well! At this time, Huawei defend our honor, dignity. We said no! we definitely showed the muscle to grow!”
“众所周知，5G技术太快了，足以改变整个世界，换句话说，如果一个国家拥有了5G技术，它将占据绝对主宰地位，不可阻挡！是我们中国，是我们中国的华为让这项技术得以实现。在美国限制对中国资源支持的不利条件下，华为拒绝购买美国资源，正如CEO任正非所说：“我们不需要美国的资源帮助，我们自己就能缔造5G神话。”这个时候，华为保卫了中国的荣誉与尊严。可以肯定地说，“不”是在“亮肌肉”，是我们在向世界展示中国的力量。”

“Saying no to others doesn’t mean that we are against them or we are selfish. It’s just that we are honest with ourselves and we know we have something more important to do.”

“As my friends know, I was took part in training like a player. Because of this reason, I need to train everyday hard. And there is one saying come from the Soviet Union that is “Comrades, the brave revolutions always need some little sacrifices.” And the sport is like this, too. You need to put more sprit and mind in it.”
