第16期Speakers’ Corner英语演讲角之“新学期，新态度”
2019年3月6日，成外高新新学期 “演讲者之角”活动（第16期）启动。由于天气原因，本次活动不能在孔子广场进行。伴随着丝丝春雨的润泽，同学们聚集到教学楼103教室进行演讲。此次演讲活动主题为Attitude is Altitude (态度决定高度)，来自高2018级1班的陈思铭，2班的陶嘉怡，3班的刘炳辰，4班的刘涵月，5班的杨文恺，6班的罗胤翔以及7班的钟舒宇共7名同学参加了此次演讲。他们围绕主题，和在场的同学们真切分享了自己对于态度影响人生的看法。活动中，同学们热情洋溢、精彩纷呈的演讲引得阵阵掌声。

下面是同学们的演讲摘录：
高一 1班 陈思铭
Chris decided to climb higher, so he joined the “Stockbroker Program”. This is not an easy job for most of us. He had thought” They all looked so happy to me, why couldn’t I look like that?” Finally, he succeeded in his work. He lived a life with a high altitude because of his positive attitude.
克里斯决定爬向高处，所以他参加了“股票经纪人培训”。这对于我们大多数人来说不是简单的工作。他想：“他们都看起来好幸福，为什么我不能看起来那样呢？”。最终，他在工作上取得了成功。他的生活能够达到一定的高度是因为他有积极的态度。
高一 2班 陶嘉怡
You are not a deep blue sky, but you can be a flowing white cloud. You are not a vast sea, but you can be a crooked stream. You are not a towering pine, but you can be a green grass.
你不是深蓝的天空，但你可以是流动的白云。你不是浩瀚的大海，但你可以是弯弯曲曲的小溪。你不是参天的松树，但你可以是一棵青翠的小草。
高一 3班 刘炳辰
Moreover, it is the basis of success, because a clear attitude means your goal. That is to say you know what you want and where you should go. Secondly , attitude shows that you are determined to do what you can to achieve your goal.
更重要的是，它是成功的基础。因为明确的态度代表着你的目标。换而言之,你知道你想要的是什么，也清楚自己要走向何处。其次，你自己明确积极的态度展示了你有决心尽己所能去实现目标。
高一 4班 刘涵月
Life is a one way line without a return. God will not give you a ticket to return. Dedication is to work hard for ourselves, to do everything for ourselves. So cherish time,cherish everyone around us,and work conscientiously to constantly inspire ourselves.
生活是一条单行线没有返程，上帝不会给你一张返程的车票。奉献是努力工作为自己，做一切随心的事情。因此珍惜时间，珍惜身边的每个人，认真做事来不断激励自己前进。
高一 5班 杨文恺
As we all know, attitude is a reflection of human character, which controls human actions and words. Students’ good attitude towards their homework and their teacher’s instructions can greatly improve their learning ability. Good attitude determines the future height. Good attitude paves the way for a promising future. Therefore, let’s try our best to have a positive attitude and try our best to achieve the altitude of our life.
众所周知，态度是人类性格的反映，它控制着人类的行动和语言。学生以良好的态度对待家庭作业和老师的教导可以大大提高他们的学习能力。好的态度决定未来的高度。良好的态度为未来铺平了道路。因此，让我们努力保持积极的态度，努力达到人生的高度。
高一6班罗胤翔
We can't control the opportunities, but we can control ourselves; we can't control the changing weather, but we can adjust our mood; we can't extend the length of life, but we can expand its width.
我们掌控不了每一个机会，但我们能主宰我们自己；我们不能决定变化的天气，但我们能调节我们的心情；我们不能增加生命的长度，但我们能拓展它的深度。
高一 7班 钟舒宇
A positive attitude always brings people power to be brave to face everything, while a negative attitude always makes people lose their goals.
积极的态度总能给人们带来勇敢面对一切的力量，然而消极的态度却总是让人们失去他们的目标。

活动结束后，各位演讲者获得了演讲证书。通过这次活动，同学们的英语口语能力得到了很好的锻炼。同时，到现场聆听的同学们也感受到了学校浓厚的英语学习氛围。相信在今后的英语学习中，他们能够深受鼓舞，勇敢表达自己。
